MCN Project

This is a project of the British Council in partnership with UKaid designed to implement strategy through Drama on COVID-19 in promoting interventions of civil society and government to prevent the community spread of COVID-19, promote testing, and ensure infected persons access treatment in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States of Nigeria which are the regions experiencing the most extensive and intensive impacts of the insurgency by the insurgents commonly known as Boko Haram. What We Did

We deployed our storytelling arsenal. Using drama as a tool of communication for a population in the communities where its dissemination aired on radio and television stations to enhance awareness on COVID-19 in the Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states and ensuring that the management and prevention of COVID-19 can be disseminated to target audiences within communities. We succeeded in the time-frame to develop and created original storyline and content as well as prepare, manage and carry out the production process to realize a creative vision that sensitized the people and enhancing awareness. The reach is precise and the impact is palpable.
